The Epic Backstory
Our Origin
The owner started for Uber in 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He used a 2004 Honda pilot and would have to drive 12 hours consistently every day to make the bills each month. Uber was in the process of updating their app including tipping in app but honestly wasn't enough to sustain so he had to figure out what people enjoyed, to provoke tipping. He has always customized his vehicles since he was young. He figured that if he customized his vehicle the way the rider would want, he would receive more tips. he started out small adding chargers and mood lighting. He tested this out and it doubled his tips. He was excited that this worked and used that extra money to upgrade the vehicle further adding a sound system, a 17" flip down screen, lights in the wheel wells, and a cheap karaoke mic. The riders were amazed and wanted him to pick them up every time, so he gave out his personal number. Party Uber/Lyft was born. Everything was going good but unfortunately, he had to move back home to Minnesota for personal reasons.
Fast Forward 5 Years
The owner had a 2011 Honda Pilot and started uber in his small town in Minnesota for extra income however it failed! So he started driving 2 hours to Grand Forks, ND every weekend to do uber and was very successful however the fares were still minimal. So the idea from Colorado came back and he began to customize the vehicle to the riders liking. In October of 2022, Partypilot was born!
A Few months later
April of 2023, He decided to upgrade to a 2023 Honda Pilot and give it a more professional look with more functional and user-friendly technology. During the slower time (Aka Summer) He continued to build the vehicle to riders' specification. He also got approved from the city council to operate Partypilot in Grand Forks.
